The return to Earth was improvised using the Blip-A and gravity assists, and the entry and landing are not depicted with atmospheric heating or a 'Sol Re-entry' phase. Rocky remains in the Hail Mary while Grace takes the Blip-A to deliver the Astrophage solution to the sun; Rocky does not assist with navigation during the return to Earth's surface. The bacteria solution is delivered to the sun via the Blip-A before the Hail Mary itself returns to Earth, not after.
